As a BCBA in Southern California for nearly six years, I've dedicated my career to supporting individuals with high support needs and severe behaviors in school and program settings. My passion lies in fostering safe spaces, belonging, and empowerment for underserved individuals with all disabilities and diagnoses. When it comes to tutoring, I'm passionate about helping aspiring BCBAs navigate the exam process with confidence and understanding. I recognize that everyone learns differently and that test anxiety can be a significant hurdle. My tutoring approach is designed to be supportive and adaptable, especially for neurodiverse learners or multiple-time exam takers. I strive to create an individualized tutoring relationship where you feel comfortable and have lots of learning light bulbs that reignite your motivation to keep going! My name is Karina Martel, I was originally born and raised in Mexico and currently live in El Paso, Texas working with children on the ASD spectrum in a clinic setting. I am very passionate about disseminating ABA and creating conversations to further discuss Ethical dilemmas and social changes in our field. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at El Paso #GoMiners, and a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis from National University. I am currently diving in the Acceptance and commitment therapy world to with a goal fo using it to help gain engagement in parent trainings.
