A Study Schedule That Doesn’t Suck

HOLY S#it, are there a lot of things going on in your life, or are we just #DayDreaming? Ok, a lot is going on right now, and we know that balancing a study schedule with everything else going on can be absolutely overwhelming. Unless you’re a trained juggler, shifting from one thing to another can seem impossible.
However, there are things that you can do to #ControlTheChaos, especially when it comes to your study schedule. By outlining all of your tasks, and looking at them from a birds-eye view, you’ll find that staying on top of your #Grind might be more manageable than you thought. Ready to learn about developing a stellar #StudySchedule? Let’s dive in…
Step 1: Analyze Your Study Habits
This is ABA, #AmIRight? We love to analyze behavior, so take a good look at your own. Are you a daytime or nighttime studier? Do you like to study right after the class is over, or right after you’ve eaten your breakfast? Whatever floats your boat, there are no wrong answers here. It’s your cup of tea—and these study habits will influence how you build out your study schedule.
Step 2: Time Management
Need something to organize your day-to-day schedule? Don’t worry, we got you boo… try anything from here. Block out things that you’re already committed to ex: work, fun activities, class. Then, take a look at the remaining time on your schedule. Is there enough time to truly study? If not, move some things around, we’re sure your boss won’t mind.
Step 3: Create A Hierarchy of Importance
Some topics may need a little more attention than others. Let’s start out by focusing on those particularly #DreadfulTopics, so you can coast through the simpler ones. By prioritizing things that need a stronger focus, you’ll feel a sense of relief knowing that you’re tackling the harder concepts first.
Step 4: Study!
This is it! Now that you understand your study habits, have made a schedule and prioritized what’s most important, it’s time to be about it, not just talk about it. When you study, make sure that you’re in a place that allows you to focus, with minimal distractions (pets are welcomed in your study lounge.) While you’re studying, glance over at your schedule every now and again, just to make sure that you’re on track… don’t get too bogged down on one topic. Sometimes moving on, and then coming back to something is the #KeyToSuccess.
Step 5: Create Time for Breaks
We all know how much you like to #Grind, but it’s absolutely crucial to make sure that you’re creating time for yourself, boo. Even fitting in 10 or 15 minutes between different topics can make all of the difference. Consider getting up and just going for a quick walk around your neighborhood. Clearing your mind will be to prepare you to take on the next subject. YOU DO NOT WANT TO BURN OUT. Burning out can cause you to resent the material, and dread having to come back to it. So, enjoy some #MeTime… whatever it may look like to you (we don’t judge.)
Seems Like a Plan Right?
With all of the various school tasks piling up, it’s drastically important to make sure that you can manage all of them. When you create an effective study schedule, you’ll be able to look at everything from a distance, and then it won’t seem so large. Try this study schedule out, and let us know if it #Sparked a new love for you!
