We all deal with procrastination in literally everything. It’s easy to find reasons why you don’t want to do the dishes, clean your room, or of course do your studying.
If you’re tired of endlessly scrolling through memes as a way to distract yourself from #RealLifeResponsibilites, we have a cure for you! Here are a few of our favorite ways to #CombatProcrastination.
Get Organized

Keeping track of your assignments and due dates will make a huge difference in your world. Seriously, when you’re on top of your sh*t, things seem less daunting, and procrastination slowly fades away like that one dude who ghosted you #Sorry.
Say Goodbye to Unnecessary Distractions
This can be a straight-up #Killer to your study game. Ever thought about putting your phone on “do not disturb mode” or turning the T.V. off? Especially in the age of working from home, it’s crucial to eliminate as many distractions as possible. However, we do encourage having some music to #Vibe to while you’re studying. This is actually a brain-boosting function that can help you stay focused.
Make Priorities
Can we add another shameless plug in here? The Negative Reinforcement Get Sh*t Done To-Do List is the perfect tool to help you #PriotitzeYourLife and fight that procrastination. When you prioritize your tasks based on level of importance and time sensitivity, it will make that to-do list seem less daunting.
Set Deadlines
It’s important to hold yourself accountable for due dates. When you don’t have a hard date set, you’ll just keep pushing your studying back until it disappears #WeKnowYaWill. Make your due dates realistic, don’t plan for tomorrow, or the next day. Try setting due dates a week or two ahead of time. By planning these things out, you’ll know exactly when to work on what, and won’t have a reason to procrastinate.
Take Breaks and Reward Yourself
This is the most important part of fighting off your procrastination. YOU HAVE TO TAKE BREAKS. Don’t try to read that whole chapter in one sitting. Take in a little bit at a time, take a break, enjoy a study snack, and reward yourself for #GoodBehavior. Self-care is the best care, and if you’re not taking care of yourself, you’ll #Burnout and continue to procrastinate.
Whether you need to take a walk, listen to some music, call your ex, or scream into a pillow… a break is a break, and taking a step back might be just what you need to keep your #Motivation strong.
Rewarding yourself gives you an incentive to #KeepFightingTheGoodFight. When you have something to look forward to, you’ll be more likely to get Sh*t done. A reward can be simple, think about treating yourself to a 15-minute social media scroll, or a tasty drink. Whatever it may be, trust us, you deserve it.
